Don't miss any rebroadcast of Charlie Rose's interview of Stephen Gaghan, the director and screenwriter of Syriana.

It was in a word, unbelievable.

In researching the subject, he goes to Beirut. While at passport control, he gets an anonymous cellphone call telling him to meet a driver who will take him to someplace he should go to. Despite being fearful that being abducted at the airport will set a world record for the quickest abduction in the Middle East, he goes ahead and does as he's told. It turns out that the head of Hizbollah had seen his previous movie, Traffic, and wanted to have a chat with him. The chat is blood-chilling.

Lots of similar vignettes.

The making of the movie looks like it deserves to be made into a movie.

Not to be missed if rebroadcast.
