Solon, why bother. There can be no logical rebuttal of a self-fulfilling statement such as - The bible is the word of God because it says so in the bible. or indeed Greg's version - The bible says that Jesus rose from the dead, and Jesus said that the bible was/is the word of God. We should just be thankful that he didn't discover Mein Kampf first, and take that as absolute truth instead... and also be baffled that he can actually accuse you of circular argument. Let us move on down the river of progress, and leave the boulders fixed in their shallows. They will not shift for the current, but only for the flood - then they shall roll on or break where they lie. Boulder sounds better than pebble, but either way it gathers moss, goes nowhere and it's fruitless to address.
