The ideal of the Founders, and it remains a worthy ideal today, is that of Americans temporarily leaving their farms and other enterprises to bring their collective wisdom to Congress for a few short years-then returning to their lives. While there, one of their main points of diligence would be to make sure that our government stayed limited, thus maximizing and preserving our liberty. We have fallen far short of that ideal over the course of the 20th Century, partly because we don't make the poltroons in Washington go home. Liberals, because they pursue socialism, hate the ideal, as they hate all of our ideals. When the wheel goes round, the liberals will be swept away, but the danger is that the ideals will be, also. The time to defeat these enemies of our ideals is today. It may be too late tomorrow...
