Wharfie, I'm sure you know that the climate had already warmed = hence the end of The lLittle Ice Age. Not to mention the end of the Big Ice Age [or at least the interglacial for 10,000 years, probably about to end].
Also, you probably know that correlation is not causation. Though it is a good start to ponder.

New Zealand had monster glaciers 10,000 years ago. Even 150 years ago the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers were way down by the coast. They've been shrinking since [other than a bit of up and down].

The problem with the Climatistas is that their predictions didn't match reality. Ipso facto, their theories are bung. Which is not to say CO2 at 400 ppm is not having a big effect compared with 280 ppm. My model from 38 years ago was that such an increase would have a large effect, but due to plants loving it, requiring less water and changing the reflectivity of deserts from bright to dark. But snow cover also is highly reflective. As are clouds. Too complex to make a model, especially with human economic responses to expensive crude oil, coal and adoption of technological and cultural shifts such as spending most of the day looking at screens instead of racing V8s up and down freeways.
