Aquatic Cellulose Updates from Brazil
VERNON, British Columbia, Jan 5, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
AquaticCellInt(OTC Bulletin Board:AQCI)
Aquatic Cellulose International Corp., is pleased to report the successful harvesting operation of the ATH-60 harvester in Brazil. Based on the amount of wood presently being harvested, the Company forecasts approximate revenues of $200,000 for the first quarter of 2000, not including the dimensional lumber revenues which could potentially triple that projection once in line.
Over a dozen species of wood have been harvested by the team ranging in price from $40 per m3 to $500 per m3 on the world market and trees as large as 10 m3 per tree. Despite some minor local delays the management expects the operation to reach peak production within 60 days.
President Gary Ackles stated, "The recent demonstrations against the World Trade Organization have focussed world attention on the needs of the environment and the 'worlds labour force'. Aquatic Cellulose is very proud of the fact that future harvesters will mean more et for the local community in an environmentally friendly business. We are operating in a part of the world where local workers are not accustomed to our levels of efficiency, and the education process is taking more time than expected. We are currently harvesting at between 50-60% of our potential, and these rates are increasing daily." Mr. Ackles continued, "a second harvester in that area will allow us to more than double the recovery rates." About the company
Aquatic Cellulose International Corp. is a company created for the purpose of acquiring rights to harvest and recover inundated and salvage timber. A unique patented robotic system created by Gary Ackles, and licensed to Aquatic Cellulose International Corp. for use in the forest industry, can reach down to the depths and retrieve this valuable lost resource. Aquatic Cellulose is proud of the fact that every tree that is recovered from the depths is one less tree that needs to be recovered from the forest. It is interesting to note that there are 38,000 dams and waterways around the world that are potential recovery sites for our exclusive robotic recovery system.
