Whether it is true or not is not the issue. The issue is that it is insulting to folks who hold different opinions honestly. It conjoins them with Dean, whether or not they like what he says, and tars them as unpatriotic, which they're not. The debate should be framed narrowly. Since we all agree on withdrawal, it should center on how it should be done. Benchmarks, if you will. It's the honest way to do it, and will end up being a plus for the GOP. But if NO is not ready for next year's hurricane season, I'm not joining any debate whatsoever, but volunteering for border guard duty for the new Republic of South Acadiana, and let the rest of you guys and gals worry about some sorry patch of desert tens of thousands of miles away. vbg
