65% of GDP comes from consumer spending, when he raised the rate to that kind of level, he effectively killed consumer spending. Just check with the retailers. Why did he raise the rate when inflation was/is not there? Because he doesn't like what Nasdaq was doing. So my point: he wasn't fighting inflation, he was going after the market all along.
