"It is a sick joke that people who keep calling themselves "conservatives" keep advocating the abolition of the estate tax, shamelessly pandering to the very wealthy.

I would hardly classify Diane Feinstein (Senate Democrat from California) as a "conservative". She does, however, happen to come from a state where farmers' land has appreciated so highly that they can't keep their farms without selling off chunks to pay confiscatory estate taxes.
