Randall, you are an old pro. Trying to predict a bottom price is futile. Peter said never expect to buy at bottom prices. Low vol. w/ price in a tight trading range for a few weeks is a good strategy, however. Intimately familiar w/ ASND and competitors' products help
quite a bit. If one can't analyze the competitive landscape, then perhaps he/she shouldn't dabble in ASND or any other. Be careful, there many head fakes in this game. Buying on the rebound is safer than trying to figuring out a bottom, especially when you manage customers' portfolio. Watch for the option reprice. It usually indicates a trough. IMHO, MOry and Bob did a magnificient job managing the crisis. The SEC filings in July averted the shareholders' lawsuit. The NTT, and UUnet cards would minimize the shortfall impact. mgmt quality can't be overstated. ASND has one of the best in business. Price/sale ratio helps determine the trough too.
