Etruscan Resources Inc. and Mountain Lake Resources Inc.: Commissioning of Tirisano Expansion Completed
Tuesday October 28, 11:21 am ET

WINDSOR, NOVA SCOTIA--Etruscan Resources Inc. (EET.TSX) and Mountain Lake Resources Inc. (MOA.TSX Venture) jointly announced today that the new scrubbing and dense media separation ("DMS") plants at the Tirisano Diamond Mine in South Africa have been successfully commissioned. This expansion will enable the plant to process approximately 80,000 cubic meters of diamondiferous gravel per month that is expected to increase monthly diamond production to approximately 2,300 carats.

Engineering design, mechanical equipment supply as well as plant commissioning of the expansion project were contracted to Bateman Minerals Limited, a leading South African firm in the supply of engineering services and plant equipment to the diamond industry. The expansion included a new Bateman-designed rotary scrubber, double deck sizing screen and dewatering circuit. In addition to the increased scrubbing capacity a Bateman-designed dense medium separation (DMS) circuit was installed by DEFS Engineering and Mining Supply of Kimberley and successfully commissioned over the past two weeks. This additional circuit has doubled the DMS capacity at the Tirisano Diamond Mine to 100 tonnes per hour.

Gerald McConnell and Allen Sheito, of Etruscan and Mountain Lake respectively commented, "With this construction and commissioning phase completed, plant operations can now be stabilized and carat production increased. There has been a lot of activity on site with this expansion and our employees have performed admirably to integrate the expanded facilities with existing operations."
