I know it's hard to keep our public servants squeky clean. Most of them come from the private sector and have all sorts of connection to their past lives. I think the point is that we want to make it appear that they are free of conflicts of interest. That's why things like blind trusts exist. We don't live in a perfect world, but we should at least try to make it as perfect as we can.
