To Everyone,

This has certainly become my favorite soap opera!

Before you interpret my comments/posts (in the past, present, and future) please append the following phrase prior to reading my message in order to help you better understand my "frame of mind" and investing philosophy.

"Some of the best stock opportunities are those where companies are both overlooked and undervalued."

FTEL is overlooked, but I am not yet certain that it is undervalued.

I have one relevant comment to say about DCTC... "Jack of all trades, master of none!!!"

I know I will get Boos from a majority of the crowd. However, I do have some insight into the business that FTEL/FNET is involved in. They have a long way to go before FTEL/FNET can consistently compete head to head w/ the likes of U.S. Robotics, 3Com, Cisco, Bay, Ascend etc... Or am I talking about those products that FNET will resell to its customers in order to succeed.

FTEL makes some interesting products but sales have certainly been lackluster! More hype than reality... we call it vaporware.

I will freely admit though, if FTEL can deliver on its promises and deliver high quality products and services, and MOST importantly, actually sell them... FTEL might be a great play.

Another item that should give you concern and/or proof that FTEL is overlooked; Upon review of a recent copy of "Data Communications" Magazine listing major players in products and services, Franklin was not to be found. My customers have not been pounding on my door demanding a "Cyclone" access device and whatever-the-heck you call their super hub. When I start seeing their sucess stories or ads pop up in LAN times, tele.com, Data Communications, Computer Week, etc. and my phone starts ringing because customers need what FTEL has, you will be the first to know.

FNET remains an enigma.
