That piece I put up by Jarvis on the mindset at the WaPo hits on it also. Message 21968317

All of these media types want to be able "do lunch," just like the westsiders in LA. They need to conform to their local group.

I thought Jarvis's comment about their dislike for their readers was trenchant. A lot of the WaPo and almost all of the NYT reporters and editors don't have public Emails. They really don't like the "great unwashed."
