Facts of the case (according to MSNBC TV): A retarded man (IQ 59) got a gun, kidnapped a man, forced him to got to an ATM and withdraw money, took the money, forced the man to drive to an isolated field and walk out into the field some distance, shot the man 8 times, killing him, then drove back into town with his loot. He later confessed to police.

No premeditation? No understanding of what he was doing? Then why go to an isolated field? Why not the police station and shoot him in front of the cops?

I used to be the Death Penalty Campaign Coordinator for the Amnesty International chapter in my county.
Why does that not surprise me? :-)
