Has anybody thought about the value and exploitability of ebay's historic auction data? I was thinking about this from the following site: omnipotent.com Essentially, this site tries to data mine information about Rolex watches. (Useful if you want to bid on a Rolex watch). Imagine if ebay could create this kind of information over all categories. They could potentially charge a buyer for this extremely useful information, opening up a whole new revenue stream.
