How far was IBM off it's $42 (pre-split) bottom before people realized a turn had been made? The news was all bad, and attitudes were negative then. It wasn't until much later that everyone recognized what had happened.

I'm not saying NOVL has bottomed. That will only be apparent if we see Schmidt, then other insiders, buying shares in the open market. Followed by a turn in the fundamentals.

The point I'm trying to make is an investing basic. Stocks (and markets) look great at tops, and terrible at bottoms. If you wait for things to look good, Novell will be $15.

The people buying the last few days are either traders for a trade, or institutional/insider types who have been told what will happen in the future. If the former, this is a normal bounce in a downtrend. If the latter....................
