Dwight. If memory serves me correctly, Lou Gerstner took over April, 1
1993. Within oh.... I believe one year, the stock was trading in the
low 60's. From that point, it had some bumps and turns, but continued
after he "readjusted" <g> the company. Then everyone knows what
happened from around 95' to present. I guess (being in NOVL since
12/95), the same thing could've happened (even with the WordPerfect
fiasco), but all I can say is "inertia" was set in (in concrete) with
Novell. That's why after Frankenberg left in 8/96 a lot of us were
"screaming" here about how much time was being wasted by Young and
Marengi. PS: I can "buy" your "former", but I see you and I agree <g>
on your "latter", heh, heh. I cannot "buy" the latter scenario either.
