Some Dow Jones notes from yesterday's segment:

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Fingerprint security identification company Identix Inc.
(IDX) has the potential for "explosive growth," said the company's chief
executive.

The potential for "explosive growth" is fueled by "password overload in this
country," said Randall Fowler during a CNBC interview Wednesday. "We need to
replace those with passwords ... using your fingerprint."

He said that in financial organizations and insurance companies that have
30,000 to 40,000 seats, "30% to 50% of their internal help-desk calls are
password related. It costs $145 per year per user to get rid of those
(problems). This (ID) can be bought for under $100 right now."

Identix hopes to make its product so ubiquitous in computers that hardware
costs will be pushed down to $0.

"Our strategy is to drive hardware costs to $0 and get it in each of the 100
million computers this year."

Fowler predicts the fingerprint IDs will "build into e-business and e-commerce
and eventually be on the Internet."
