I saw the car all the way. It was about 10pm at night and it was at an intersection, very well lit, the car did not have its turn signal on so I assumed that it was going straight, but it made a left turn and hit me in the leg. I got up right away. I don't know how my dog didn't get hit. Anyway, the doctors told me 2 months ago I am fully healed. What they mean by that is no infection and no internal bleeding. It does not look great cosmetically, but I have no pain or disability in the leg or area. It really was a miracle. It was an abrasion, very red and thick. Now it is light brownish and getting better cosmetically. I am not concerned about it in the least. I am sure it will continue to look better over time, but the doctors said I would likely have permanent scars. No deep gash requiring stitches.

It was a bad judgement call on my part. The driver was wrong for not alerting me that she was making a turn. But I was wrong for assuming she would go straight. Of course, she is wrong and I am the pedestrian, from a legal point of view.

I count my blessings.
