I was facing the traffic. There was no traffic outside of her car. The woman who hit me was tired coming home from work. She was in another world, not paying attention. She called the police to complain that there wasn't enough light for her to see. When the police came and heard the story, they gave her a ticket and I suppose her car rates went up. Sounds like the Twilight zone, but it really happened. I'm just happy I had no broken bones, torn ligaments and wasn't paralyzed or died.
The worst part was not the abrasion on my leg, but my whole body locked up when I got hit and fell. I had to do all these exercises for my hamstrings, quadriceps and hips. For a couple of weeks, I had to lift my leg with my other hand when i put on my blue jeans. My whole body ached for weeks. I had massive black in blue marks all over my body, especially on my butt, covering my whole behind. It was scary at the time. I spent 6-7 hours a day doing physical therapy exercises for about 10 weeks. My whole body went into shock.

Today, I am fully recovered, a miracle. Now I stop on every street corner for every car, assume nothing. It was a very traumatic experience.
