Last 30 days IBM has 7 downgrades and HWP 20 downgrades. seasonality, asian crisis , currency problems Big Chip Deal: 1. MU is giving 600 M stk and 200 to pay off debt TI is not great in DRAM biz. TXN is getting lot ot of cheap mu stk- MU is getting 200M cash to go against Koreans - txn can participate in good dram biz. of mu - koreans are dumping drams - cpq and ibm have inv. under control - pc demand increase in 2nd half - will be lot of dram demand- mu is a local co - how can they handle global mkts given by TXN ? ------------------------------------ ericy to buy Asnd : voice guys want digital guys ERICY is a voice co. Its move is good.
