I've been following the Fobaproa fiasco, and always try to remain abreast of political machinations in the LatAm's. In addition to the fine details you've provided, it's been my understanding that certain parties have never been very happy since the actual funding process for the 1994 bailout was exposed, i.e. float bonds in Europe, pay-off the U.S., put it on the Mexican taxpayer.

I'll have to take a look at Proceso. Actually my reading of Spanish is fairly good, but left to communicate on my own...well, it's laughable. <G>

I also see where Chavez is predicted to win in Venesuela.

And what a mess there is over the Pinochet incident.
