To all:Some news on RAIN

RAIN was favorably featured on a local Chicago (Ch.2) news show Sunday morning.Steve something-or-other's show.

Dropped in on RAIN on my way up to Wisconsin and then ate there on my way back. Both days there were planes flying over Gurnee and Great America advertizing the Cafe. After Gov.Edgar announced the Bass Pro showcase coming to Gurnee Mills he proceded to go eat at the Rainforest Cafe.(And I thought he had no taste.)Saturday at 3:30 the joint was packed with several parties hanging around waiting to get in.The retail shop was packed.Looked in some other stores and there was nowhere near the business in any of them. They were empty by comparison.Just stayed a few minutes for a spot check.

Returned Sunday at 2:20 to eat and was given a 3:40 "passport" time to return. It was at least 15 more minutes before we were called.Through the wait and afterward dinner the retail shop was packed like sardines.Judging from what I observed the Gurnee Rainforest is doing maximum business on week-ends.Rumors of a Disney water something park going up between Gurnee Mills and Great America. Also rumors of Planet Hollywood going up at the other end of the mall.

My fiance's seven year old boy absolutely fell in love with the Rainforest.I asked what stuff he liked in the shop, his reply "All of it!!!" He claimed it was alot better than Chuckie Cheese, his previous dining favorite. The Disney Rainforests are going to be Big!!! Really Big!!!

Regards to all,
Dennis
