NASDBULL,

<So, my conclusion is this! That Oracle knew what Reasoning offered and went with TPII anyway!!! This alliance between TPII and Oracle is larger then ever if my assumptions are true. But Ram, you raised the question. I saw the caption in the article and thought about it for a second, but never this deeply. I think TPII has an edge over this powerhouse, Reasoning Inc. from the Silicon Valley. We shall see!!>

I don't really know much about the TPII/Oracle relationship, but I don't agree with your conclusions. It is possible TPII is ahead of Reasoning at the moment, but Reasoning seems to have tremendous people and financing behind it and they can probably close the gap or buy the technology very soon. Since Oracle is in the driver seat, I see no reason why they need to have an exclusive relationship with TPII. They can have alliances with both TPII and Reasoning and leave it up to the customer to make their choice. All Oracle would care about is that the legacy system conversion gets ported over to a new system using Oracle databases.
