Ok, I found the Itron reply. Looks like I'll have to get a copy of Forbes... One thing I've noticed is that Cellnet seems to get paid per meter-read. In contrast, Itron (for it's long-term contracts) seems to recognize revenue for both the system build-out and system operation.
