As logical as that post is, there is little in it to identify a God or the God that is the object of worship by Western religions. You apparently don't like what we worship so you make something up and attribute it to us and then mock it.

The last paragraph seems sincere and worthy of comment.

"It is time for the church to get rid of the idea that any God worth His salt must hate all of humankind."

I find nothing in religious doctrine to support the idea that God hates mankind. God is the creator and sustainer. I don't believe that God "Hates" mankind or that you are justified in making the assertion that believers worship a God who Hates mankind.

If you plant a garden and weeds and pests over come your crops or the garden becomes briney, wouldn't you do some major cleanup and try to restart from scratch. If you are organic you'd probably save some of the better seeds to start the new garden with. That would not equal you hating the fruits and vegetables of your garden.

"The concepts of unearned sin,.." I don't believe in this.

"and eternal torture are unworthy" Why? "They are illogical" No, the logic is well established. " and inhuman." You are correct. However, it is just and fair to the humans who've earned it. "And there really oughta be a law..." There is. It is a common sense list of shalts and shalt nots, and is quite logical/moral.
