P.S. - Massive counter-offensive by Ukraine happening in Kursk. Doesn't seem like the local commanders will be able to "liberate" the area before Trump takes office, even though they are supplementing their forces with North Korean prisoners-turned-cannon fodder.

two tanks is massive? I guess from the Ukrainian POV it just might be.

Russian President Vladimir Putin lost at least two colonels in a Western-made missile strike by Ukraine as Kyiv's forces launched a "counterattack" in the Kursk region.

Ukrainian forces started a surprising ground offense against Russia in August in the Kursk region but then began to lose ground after Russia deployed up to 12,000 North Korean troops in the region in its nearly three-year-long war in Ukraine.

"At about 9 a.m. Moscow time, in order to halt the advance of Russian troops in the Kursk direction, the enemy launched a counterattack," the Russian defense ministry.

While it was not immediately clear how much territory the Ukrainian forces had advanced into, columns of armored vehicles were seen advancing beyond the territory that was already controlled by President Volodymyr Zelensky's forces.

According to the Russian ministry, Kyiv used two tanks, a demolition unit, and a dozen armored vehicles in its new counterattack.
