Eddie. That one is the "mock" RFP that was setup. Not real world. Here
is a link that depicts the "real world" attitude towards Groupwise,
the 5.2 beta, and how, again, the "world" percieves Novell. That being
they (at best) see Novell servicing the "entrenched Netware shops".
If you read the current myriad of articles on collaberative computing,
server platforms (and the software of choice), the alliances, and
relationships, etc. And then, assimilate all of that information, I
"still" say, until shown otherwise, I have NOT seen a "DEFINITIVE"
statement from Novell (only "hedges"), as to HOW they intend to
produce REVENUE, and increase shareholder value. It's that simple.

(You need to add the "http:// as I get truncated with this junk tool
I have here <smile>).
The articles (and people I've spoken to), still have the
"qualification" text about Novell (i.e., the "hedges", the "well, sure
it's good, but..., the "shadow of Microsoft about them", the well,
even Sun and IBM are REALLY ascribing to Netscape (read: Lotus), while
only giving lip-service to NDS, etc. Again, when Novell (Schmidt) ever
comes out with a DEFINITIVE "STANCE", I might ("might") believe them.
Regards, Joe... (PS: the option shift for the employees won't ben. us)
