It goes without saying that the key is quality of life.
Your comment brings to mind a conversation I just had with a friend. He and his wife live in the Seattle area, but she originally hails from North Dakota. They were back last month to visit family, and got together with an aunt. This aunt is 92 now, if I recall correctly. Still lives alone, does her shopping, drives her car, etc.
They were talking and the aunt made a comment about all the "foreigners" moving into the area.
My buddy commented, "I hear you. In my neighborhood, we have Koreans, Chinese, Indians, etc. Where are the people coming from who are moving here?"
Auntie replies, "Oh, Ohio, Indiana, California..."
Guess its all a matter of perspective. |
