I am a newcomer also, but I have chime in with your thoughts about the RSI. I also didn't think much of it, but a very knowledgeable fellow from Iowa, and I know he will read this, made the same explanation to me in a e-mail. More than a few times using RSI14 with support and resistance lines I have nailed especially sells right on the money. (Paper trading, unfortunately) If nothing else at least I brought my stop up very close to the stock because the warning was there. In a separate window or overlaid on the chart itself it seems to be a valuable tool. Good post!!
