Nadine, I have long thought the obvious question is where did the weapons go? However, that is not apparently in the interest of the MSM or the NYT or WP.

What was done this week by the releasing of a one year old story appears to me to have had two targets.

1. The first apparent target was to get the Iraqi election of center stage in the nightly news. The tactic was key in preventing any positive opinion growing as to the possibility of success in Iraq. Plain and simple adding and abetting.

2. The other apparent target was the senate vote on the Patriot Act. The release of the story will take days to sort out. While this process occurrs it makes it very easy to vote against the Patriot Act. As for me - I have nothing to hide. It is far to easy to be a criminal in the US.

Finally, one needs to ask why the supposed "outing of Valerie Plame" - a Washington socialite - gets such huge attention while other leaks of national security type information receives applause and not investigation. It is not much of a stretch to say that the mainstream media is a completely biased and political operation.
