Thanks. I clipped that out to send to my sister, who teaches sixth grade.

Every year she dreads the start of school because she never knows whether she will get a good class or not. Some groups are simply impossible to teach. Others, like the one she has this year, are a majority of good students.

She just got a new addition to her class who is such a problem that it required an immediate meeting with her student's parents. She told me she was glad her principal, a 6 foot seven guy, was in the meeting with her. The parents were an adult version of her recalcitrant kid.
