Chris:

Thanks for the site.

About the possibility of a buyout sure I would think LSI
would complement INTC's portfolio very very well. We know
that INTC wants in to these kinds of markets and the new
mgt. there is not so bull-headed as Grove's "the microprocessor
rules the world" mantra. LSI's IP and design expertise is worth a small fortune if anyone is so inclined to evaluate the company that way. (And they think INTC is going after COMS - ha! - <devilish grin>)

About when - within the next 6 months would be the ideal time I
would think because any one of these days LSI will start doing the
consecutive sequential quarters of revenue growth thing and then
it will be too late for any suitors since the price of the stock
will be bid up...

Of course this is all my fiction with no idea of what will
actually happen.

And we know that LSI is always the subject of
rumors of some sort - either they are going out of business,
they are losing the PlayStation, everyone is entering their niche,
institutions are selling, the Koreans are coming etc etc etc.. Been
there done that!

I prefer not to get too involved in these sorts of things because
I am not privy to the goings on of the nether world there in Milipitas <g>.

If they want my shares I'll be offering them up for $65. Reality says
that something around 30-40 would be acceptable to most - it will also give the acquirer a big enough rate of return to be considered a worthwhile investment.

Shane.
