Trump showed a lot of love toward the people of Western North Carolina while they were being ignored by the Brandon/Brenda administration.

I cannot speak for all MAGA people; I can only speak for myself. And I definitely do not hate immigrants. In fact, I welcome immigrants, always have. What I am opposed to ( and do hate) are illegals and foreign students on visas who are protesting in support of Hamas and who are chanting death to the US and Israel. From an American point of view, I want these people deported. From an Israeli point of view, I want them dead.

As for Trump, I do not think or feel that he hates all immigrants. Trump is USA obsessed and his hostility toward immigrants is primarily directed toward Muslim terrorists and those illegals with hardly any to no skills.

Inflation was an issue during the campaign because it affected the working class and Trump took advantage of that. That's politics.

The working class in the USA would rather have a mild recession than a strong economy with high inflation.

Let's see what happens with the tariffs. It is not a good policy intermediate to long term. Short term it may work. Trump seems to think it can work out as a long term strategy raising cash. I have my severe doubts about that. Ultimately, people will pay more in terms of goods and services. But if the income tax and social security tax are repealed, that is not a bad trade off. Whether or not Congress would go for or pass such a thing is a huge question mark.

As for the stock market, I cashed out in November. I am primarily sitting in SGOV, money market and 6 month and one year T-Bills. I would love to get aggressive on the short side, but won't do so yet. Just chilling.

I think it is going to get extremely ugly to the downside with multiple crashes over the next 5-10 years, if not longer, interspersed with a few very nice cyclical bull rallies, lower highs and lower lows. Valuations are mostly a joke, in the heavens. It is all wild speculation, momentum driven, cut off from fundamentals.

Funny thing about bubbles is that they can inflate beyond one's wildest dreams, but not with my money.
