I forgot to add that a professional install (permits, inspection, etc) will probably thriple the cost here in the U.S.

In Australia a similar system would be about $2 a watt with some storage.

A 10 Kw grid tied system (panels and inverter) would be about a dollar a watt.

Here in the U.S. every county has their own electrical code spin although they generally follow the NEC (National Electrical code).

Just one page to fill out in Germany and Australia for a system.

Not so here.

Bureaucracy!

My good high school friend down in Tuscon bought a GV-60 and loves it. Had a charger installed in his garage. Working on him to install solar. A total "no brainer" down there!
