One of Symantec's biggest problem has been their dependence on the channel, especially retail. The margins suck and your visbility into what you have actually sold at any point in time is very limited. That's what hurt them so badly 2 qtrs ago. They stuffed the retail channel with their NAV-95 product and at the end of the quarter, it all came back and they got surprised!
