Dear Andrew,
Your concern for my welfare is much appreciated and although I can be irascible at times, I have never viewed your comments and criticisms toward me to be offensive. I'll continue to welcome your (as well as few others) advice and guidance.
I am sorry to hear that you've been through such rough times during your college years. Although I cannot relate to your experiences, I've had my share of difficulties and I do know the value of a hard earned dollar.
For your information, my total invested asset lies somewhere between $15,000 ~ $20,000 and the significant portion of this is from following Shawn's picks. Thank you, Shawn! I am not rich, but I am not exactly a struggling student either. Just before the closing of the market, I have sold off a fraction of CSGI shares in my possession in order to free up some funds for the next week's Monday morning market play. I am, without a doubt, the smallest player on this thread.
My objective for the year of 1997 is to earn tuition money, and the more I earn, the less I need to rely on Federal Student Loan. Those Room&Boards can be a such rip-off! And I'd rather not end up with an unpaid six-digit loan upon graduation (it's a long way until I earn my PhD). So why not put all that money to good use and invest just as P. Webster's husband did? Despite my very little (rudimentary at best or perhaps not even that) knowledge of the market, I am aware of the crooked players out there who would love to rob novice investors of their money and drive into oblivion. However, it is my notion that there are few individuals out there who are genuinely interested in helping out rookie players such as myself. That's you, Shawn, as well as Mark Nass and Kevin.
Thank you and please keep those comments&criticisms coming
Sincerely,
Robin
p.s. Hey you guys...my classes begin in one week and I have five more business days to concentrate on stocks. I would be extremely grateful if someone could teach me how to tech read stock charts (Kevin?). I may not know much about investing but I am a quick learner --- above average. Thank you very much once again. |
