I would like to request prayer for Allen Taylor.

I just finished witnessing to him for an exhausting two hours. I really thought he was so close to salvation , but somehow I let him slip back into the sea of the multitudes, in the valley of indecision.

It's a terrible feeling to get so , so close and come away with, zilch. He made the statement that if he knew 100 % that God would save him and then give him the strength not to ever touch drugs again the rest of his life he would get saved immediately.

He had me ! I didn't know what to say. The bumbling idiot that I am could only say to him. Allen. All I can say to you is that on those days that you wake up and depend on God to give you the strength, on those days you will not do drugs; however, on those days that you are depending on Allen Taylor for the strength it will not be enough, you will fail not 10% or 50% or 99% of the time , but you will fail 100% of the time. You remember Peter when he walked on water , as long as he looked to the Lord he was OK but when he looked down at his circumstance he started to sink. I told him every Christian has to keep all eyes on the Lord.

Well , I'm open to suggestions. How should I have responded ? For the sake of myself and lurkers let's use this as an evangelism class.

In Christ.gregor
