In the 90's Microsoft and Cisco were the place to go for PC and networking because people like one stop shopping.

It is happening to Oracle now for Internet business applications.

Who want to deal with all the shops -- Siebel, Portal, Remedy, SAP, PeopleSoft, I2, CommerceOne ... on and on, which are conflicting and overlapping? In stead, you can toss all of them away and just deal with Oracle.

No matter we like LE or not, Oracle probably will be the Cisco for the Internet applications.

Just IMHO.
