Jin, Ascend is extremely volatile. Lots of people are shorting it. A few have made money and some have lost their shirts shorting Ascend on its climb over the last 3 years. The short interest is reported at 8.6 million shares, or about 3 days trading. This is the 10th largest short position on Nasdaq as of 12/13/96. This would be a very risky stock to short.
