<< << Even Ericsson >>

I thought these guys were part of Qualcomm's value chain?

From the DARK GSM SIDE of Ericsson.

"The TDMA operator path to GSM: A successful transition to GSM & Evolution of TDMA"

September 2001

gsmworld.com

This white paper is intended for TDMA operators inte-rested in understanding Ericsson’s views on how to ensure a successful transition to GSM/GPRS and how Ericsson will evolve the TDMA network. TDMA operators have the choice to follow the GSM or the CDMA technology evolution paths to 3G, with Ericsson providing solutions for both these options. This white paper discusses only the GSM path. More specifically, it focuses on the first step, the deployment of GSM/GPRS, and does not detail the subsequent evolution from GSM/GPRS to EDGE and WCDMA.

Maybe the'll get half thrown out of CDG.

Can't wait for the 2nd installment ... GPRS to EDGE with the doubling of voice capacity using the AMR codec and all that good frequency hoppimg stuff and all.
