BorderManager is a firewall/proxy server integrated with NDS that runs ONLY on intel PC's.

Will telcos use them? Don't know. Nobody has a significant portion of the marketplace.

For a telco, any telco to use such a product:
- there MUST be 24-hour telephone support with fast response time
- onsite support must be available (always for a fee, of course)
- it must be manageable from Netview, Openview, Unicenter, Tivoli, or whatever software is in place
- It needs to be stable, well-tested, and scalable.

I don't know if BorderManager requires a Netware server. If it does, then NOVL is even stupider than I thought.

I wish it was ported to RISC hardware. That would be a big plus. A uniprocessor Pentium chip is still a far cry from the faster RISC boxes. Is the code even threaded to take advantage of a SMP-intel box???
