Senior politicians warned the banks not to use the downgrade as an excuse to charge more for borrowing on the high street.

lmao at stupid politicians. If my FICO credit score is downgraded, I pay a higher interest rate. How is that not true with Governments borrowing from banks using a Moodys or S&P Credit Score? When Obama was able to get the U.S. debt downgraded, he was rewarded with the same low interest rates. How is that possible without a rigged system?
