The MACD is just barely turning positive. These stocks could be at the beginning of an extended upward move. The least time AMAT has spend with the MACD going positive is three sessions. Unfortunately a good case for both the SOX and AMAT being overbought could be made as well. We may or may not go much higher. I'm watching very close. stockcharts.com[h,a]daclyymy[pb50!b200!d20,2][vc60][iUb14!La12,26,9!Lk14] Both the SOX and AMAT can still go higher without reaching extremely overbought status. We will see but it is fun to imagine the possibilities especially if we get some goods news as you suggested. RtS
