[ADSL for the masses]

>>Does and will AMTX have ADSL for the "masses"?

Of course. Office and residence phone connections go through the same switching equipment at the phone company. ADSL modems will be priced affordably -- I've heard figures of around $200 for a PC type ADSL modem. No hard figures yet.

>> will WSTL dominate the early going?

Some people on this thread believe this to be true. Companies want to be first to market, and CAP will most likely be out before DMT. Since DMT is the standard, some believe CAP will be deployed first and later replaced with DMT. However, this isn't definite.

>> potentially very bad for AMTX. WSTL does seemingly have the best of both worlds right now.

The CAP people would like you to believe this. However, the DMT folks aren't getting uncomfortable about it.
