Me thinks that you may be overoptimistic about todays wafer cost for 300m diameter 0.13micron technology.

You could be right. My number was just a WAG. One thing though, the fab itself won't be any different, and that's already factored into an 8" wafer. Just the equipment changes. So is $1000 added cost really too little?
