Well, actually these are some varied comparisons. I'm sure that the person posting was meaning that NDS drastically eases management issues. And I will propose that the SNMP world is evolving to a world of mixed protocols, and that Web-based management will eventually give way to Directory-based management .. it's a better fit!

From my previous post I had a link to IBM's support services that are using ManageWise and NDS to manage networks, and CA has annouced a relationship. Even HP OpenView has NDS ties ...
