LKO: Rs 480 crore = approx. US$127 million.
Crore =a unit of value equal to ten million rupees or 100 lakhs

High power committe= you got me! Probably 'high' ranking officials in the state goverment,whose job might be to approve such projects,I would think.

I heard a leading software company there called Infosys is planning to offer ADRs here in the U.S,I don't know when but you can email them and ask them. Here is the URL for Infosys:

There are several Indian companies traded as GDRs on London and Luxemburg exhcanges,I think.
