I completely agree. Say a nut walks into a busy mall with a Tech-9 and starts shooting people at random. What is the crowd's only hope? A law-abiding, gun-carrying citizen is their only chance. A brave person willing to step into the line of fire to take out the headcase. This happens more often than you have been led to believe, however the press doesn't want to tell you about it. You are only a hero if you get shot and killed. I don't carry a gun just because I choose not to (I can legally get a permit fairly easily) -- I have absolutely no problem with someone who does -- he/she may save my life some day. Cops are great at what they do, but too bad -- he/she is 10-15 minutes from saving your butt. Criminals will always have guns and other weapons ... taking them out of the hands of citizens is just plain stupid. vb
