Bell Atlantic Says FCC Okays Plan For Internet Access ARLINGTON, Va. (Dow Jones)--Bell Atlantic Corp. (BEL) said the Federal Communications Commission approved the company's plan to offer Internet access. In a press release, Bell Atlantic said the clearance enables it to offer ''one-stop shopping'' for Internet services. The company's Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions affiliate is offering Internet service to businesses in the Washington and Baltimore areas. The services include high-speed dedicated access services and a set of services to help businesses and government organizations establish a presence on the World Wide Web. The company will introduce residential services in July, starting with selected markets in Bell Atlantic's mid-Atlantic service area.
